I really get the extra effort Korg put in this synth with new firmware like 2.0 with effect mode operator as well and now MkII as well.
But more polyphony really would be for SE versions with big keybed.
- 2 part also, or?
I set for just 2 voice polyphony on my original, but guess but the more the merrier I guess. I could do 4 with no restriction in playing,

I guess unison might use up polyphony but I really don't feel the need to use it. And the reality is they ran out of chips for the original version, hence a new chip for the new version(s). But even so, I love it as a pure FM synth. Maybe eventually they will upgrade the effects with the more powerful processor.

I guess the crisp fm sounds don't look for unison in the same way as when going for analog silk/fluff stuff.
A 64-step sequencer instead of 16 would be more useful than more voices. Then you could do more chord progressions and sit on that level making a verse and chorus or something.
- 8th-note resolution and two bars is not much
- I use it for hands free when tweaking sounds only
24-32 voices depending on modes/algos used is more than enough IMO.

Pretty useful and simple way to turn Opsix into a little FM drum machine. Full of basic sound design stuff and clever tricks. The sounds are actually useful.

Has anyone seen the mk2 module available for sale yet? It was supposed to be released in March and I thought I saw one in a random youtube vid (that I can't recall now) a few days ago, but looks like it's still listed as preorder in most stores.egbert101 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 9:41 pm And now Desktop module:
