I've noticed that with some effects in the processing chain (such as Remix) that Acoustica's CPU usage on my Mac remains around 50% after playback has stopped. I guess that the processing chain is staying active?

Yes, the playback continues to the reverb tails, etc. to ring out, but I guess we could disable that in the moment when the processing tool window is closed.

I have Acoustica running in the background with a Processing Chain almost always active, but most of the time it's not actually playing back audio so I was looking to save CPU (and quieten my Intel Mac's fans). So just monitoring the window being open wouldn't help in this case.

I hadn't considered reverb tails though. Maybe if Acoustica stops playing and there's no output after a certain time period it could go into an idle mode and stop processing until playback is restarted?
