How to remove extra Velocity Generator automation

Hello,
I originally created 9 measures for a test song and added a Velocity Generator. I then changed my chord progression to 8 measures as I changed to a different chord progression.
When I look at measure 9, I still see an automation line and I was looping 9 measures originally. I fixed the looping by changing to 8 measures.
My question though, is how do I remove the extra Velocity Generator line at the end. It does look different than what is in the other measures. I'm not sure if this is by design or if there is a way to remove it.

just drag the tab on the edge of the timeline, like shown in the image, to the edge of the end of the 8th bar.. it shows it because the measure is still 9 bars.

On the time line you can alt click to split..
