How do I change preset from my midi-keyboard?

I miss the possibility to connect my presets to a program number, so that I can send a Program Change to Tal-Sampler.

Right now I have to do it with a complicated solution, where in Ableton Live I have a Clip that triggers the Next/Previous Preset arrows in Tal-Sampler a lot of times.

U-HE Bazille has a solution to Program Change in a software synth. It's not optimal, but it works.

you can change presets from your actual computer keyboard (up/down then shift and right to load) but I can see that might not be the most practical in a live situation. Will pass your thoughts on to Patrick @TAL and let you know if anything can be done. If you host Sampler in an Live Instrument Rack it's possible to map controls to the previous/next preset buttons:

Apologies if that's not workable, I'm a Bitwig guy mainly, just a suggestion since it's how I'd do it in Bitwig. Save a BW instrument chain preset for each of the presets I want to use live even, then switch between those with my controller.
Either way I'll pass this on to Patrick.

Thanks.
It would be nice with a preset folder for programs. The user should name the presets “000 Flute”, “001 Rhodes”, “002 Blah blah” etc.

Even better with MIDI-Bank folders with 128 presets in every bank

I really miss the program change feature. There is good inspiration in Pigments (from Arturia). They use playlists as Banks

it is on the list to look at but for now Patrick's suggestion is the same as mine, to use the controller mapping assigned to the preset up/down arrows

The controller mapping trick works only if I always need to load the presets in the same order. But I improvise in my live set, and jump up and down in clip view.

I have tried to send 20 previous preset messages (to make it count from the first preset in the folder) and afterwards send four next preset messages to make it jump to preset number 5. But it does not work every time.

yeah I can totally understand, you could make sets of just the presets you'll use, in the order you'll use them but I get that all of this stuff is just workarounds. Patrick is the only dev at TAL but he does his best to organise and get through the feature request list while also updating products and making new ones, I'm sorry it's sometimes a while before things can get added or changed.
