Music is the language of the soul.
The best music comes from the heart of the performer or composer.

Whether or not it's still relevant. The basic ideas for making a piano or snare etc haven't changed. Additive/subtractive and FM synthesis are still the main two types of synthesizers.

The book was last revised in 2007. The basics of synthesizer programming never went out of style, although the synths used as the examples are obviously dated. https://noisesculpture.com/how-to-make- ... ogramming/
However, the good news here is that one of these synths is now the currently free, open source Surge synth! https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/
If you study the concepts of oscillators (sound sources), filters, envelopes, modulations, etc. in this book, you will be ready to move on to your favorite modern synths. The best tutorial I have seen.
