The port of Etch to Reason was not trivial. The 3D graphics environment of Reason 6.5 makes custom controls difficult - and Geist is loaded with them. A different compiler is required, which throws up many incompatibilities.

Etch RED was a small-scale test of the porting process, and to gauge how much commercial support there would be for further efforts in this direction.
