Steinberg has announced the release of VST Live 2, a major update to their live performance software making it one of the only systems on the market to combine MIDI, audio, VST instruments, mixing/sequencing technology and video/lightning control in one product.
Alongside dedicated instruments, a wide range of effects plug-ins, live stacks, a fully-fledged mixer, syncable lyrics/chords and a sequencer with audio, MIDI and video tracks, VST Live 2 adds new features such as:
- DMX plug-ins - VST Live Pro 2 is the first DIY production system to include DMX plug-ins, which will help you to create a memorable visual performance in no time.
- Flex Loops - Add maximum flexibility with the power of ultimate loop control. Setup a dedicated version for each part, including duration, continuous looping or set a number of repetitions.
- Automation - Open up literally endless possibilities for working with automation. Send any source information to any target and record automation data that is not exclusively linked to a specific track or instrument.
- MIDI plug-ins - Whether it is arpeggios, note filters or the like - these are very helpful tools to support your live performance.
- Focus Control - Setup your own customized window with only the controls and parameters you need to see at that time.
