Sample Magic recently released MIDI Elements: 80s Beats and Vinyl and Tape Drum Machines.
MIDI Elements: 80s Beats, £14.90, includes authentic drum machine kits and MIDI grooves inspired by the sound of the eighties. Taking stylistic cues from the likes of Depeche Mode, Duran Duran and Human League, 80s Beats takes iconic drum machines and uses classic production techniques to deliver a retro beat experience.
Packed with 150+ one-shots from revered 80s modules including the Roland TR-505 and 707, Boss DR 202, Linn Drum LM2, Sequential Circuits Drum Tracks and Oberheim DMX, all hits have been re-sampled (Akai MPC60 MKII and 2000 Ensoniq Mirage) and processed through Sample Magic's prized outboard signal chain for added analogue warmth and character.
The hits have then been carefully curated into 10 ready-to-rock kits for all major samplers and supplied with 95 distinctive MIDI drum grooves.

They dusted off their extensive collection of analogue and digital drum machines to create their most comprehensive drum collection ever. Each sound has been tracked to tape and cut to vinyl then re-sampled through their signal chain. Deep, warm and analogue-injected, Vinyl & Tape Drum Machines comes loaded with 1,300+ all-new one-shots.
Spanning iconic and essential to rare and overlooked, they've sampled over 20 drum machines from across the decades in order to create this one-shot collection packed with 1,355 brand-new sounds served in five unique processing flavours (6,775 files in total) and bundled with 20 custom-curated drum kits for all major samplers.
