D16 Group releases Frontier - Self-Adaptive Versatile Limiter for Mac OS X and Windows (incl. 64-Bit)
D16 Group has released Frontier, a "Self-Adaptive Versatile Limiter" unit for Windows and Mac OS X in VST, AU and AAX plug-in formats (including 64-bit versions for them all).
It's available for D16 Group registered customers only and it is available for free.
Frontier is a limiter plug-in with a simple and intuitive user interface. It allows for quick and efficient controlling dynamics of a channel, bus or master output. Frontier can be used as a very transparent mixing / mastering limiter (at certain settings) with it just licking the loudest amplitude peaks, or can be utilized as a sound-shaper too, when more extreme settings are at stake. Especially with the soft-clip option enabled.
Frontier is the first D16 plugin that can be activated online (as an alternative to activation through a license key file).
Key features:
- Configurable control input.
- Automatic output gain make up.
- Controllable release characteristic.
- Optional soft clip.
- Tag based preset browser.
- Two alternative GUI sizes.
- MIDI-learn functionality throughout.
- 64-bit internal processing.
Price: Free for D16 Group customers.
