Chicken Systems updates Translator Mac to v5.9.0.103

Chicken Systems has updated the Mac OS X version of Translator to version 5.9.0.103. This new update features enhancement of Kontakt 4.2 support, some more SFZ additions, the start of Alchemy support, some significant interface changes, plus more Mac enhancements and general maintenance in preparation for Translator version 6.

For Translator registered customers, to update, open the program and the Help-Check For Updates function should tell you there is a new update available.

Chicken Systems has also posted more product videos on Translator and its features (plus other products).

Changes:

  • [ALL] Added viewing of Camel Audio Alchemy.acp files.
  • [ALL] Added reading and translation of Akai S1000/S3000 floppy images. Note: Mac's cannot read proprietary floppies, but can read images; Images can be created using Translator Windows on a PC with an internal floppy controller (not USB floppy drives).
  • [ALL] Enabled and enhanced Color options for WavePlayer.
  • [ALL] Added window fading on main Window and splash screen (can be turned off in Preferences).
  • [ALL] Added View Filter mini-preferences dialog in View Filter area.
  • [ALL] Added "Filter Clear" button for View Filter text box.
  • [ALL] Added Waveplayer mini-preferences dialog under the Waveplayer.
  • [ALL] Added View Filter mini-preferences dialog in View Filter area.
  • [ALL] Fixed and enhanced View Filter feature.
  • [ALL] Added icons to most menus.
  • [NI] Fixed Fix References and Replace References for Kontakt 4.2.
  • [NI] Fixed Roland->Kontakt Master Tuning issues.
  • [NI] Fixed Group tuning issues (when groups are used for tuning, not often).
  • [MOTIF] Fixed ->Motif XS conversions applying to more then 2 Motif Elements.
  • [MOTIF] Fixed MTD access to Motif.
  • [MOTIF] Fixed some ->XF bugs.
  • [ALL] Eliminated writing files with a space before extension (e.g. "brass.exs").
  • [ALL] Cleaned up deprecated menu options (now in Constructor).
  • [ALL] Fixed viewing of Akai Volumes.
  • [ALL] Fixed Roland renaming.
  • [ALL] Added confirmation for renaming (can be switched off in Preferences).
  • [ALL] General Maintenance and minor bug fixes.
