Arturia has announced the release of Augmented Strings Intro and is giving it away for free until April 30th, 2022.
Part of the Augmented Series, Augmented Strings Intro is a streamlined version of an innovative instrument that combines rich sampled strings with state-of-the-art synthesis, giving modern producers immediate access to a comprehensive range of authentic, abstract, and evocative string sounds.
Uniting sampled string libraries with 4 synthesis engines, Augmented Strings Intro offers a hybrid sound palette. The sound of Augmented Strings Intro consists of 2 layers, every preset features a combination of string samples, virtual analog, wavetable, harmonic, and granular synthesis.
The Morph control allows for ever-evolving sounds with one click. Move and transform between Layers A and B, and adjust up to 8 parameter destinations per preset.
22 musicians performed as soloists and as an ensemble for the recording, with over 60 articulations across double bass, cello, viola, and violin. The recordings were captured in detail with microphones and preamps in various positions, ensuring realism, detail, and energy.
Augmented Strings Intro is available for free until the 30th of April 2022 from Arturia with a registered Arturia account.
