Not a problem.
I can report that all my AIR plugins have no issues running in Cubase Elements 13.
I'm not sure if you using 12 is part of the issue.
Not a problem.
All the AIR instruments sound really great, Hybrid, Vacuum Pro and Loom II are some of my favorite softsynths of all time and yes Velvet sounds amazing. For that reason those older AIR plugins are literally the only VST2 plugins I have on my system.LunarKitten wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 10:17 pm I want to say this as well:
I really liked how the velvet 2 sounded in demonstrations. Is it the most realistic rhodes/wurli VST these days
Nice. I have tried two different DAWs so far, I can try another one if there is one I can install for free. If it was an issue with my cubase software, why doesn't it run in the other DAW? My guess is that there is something else going on.
I'm happy that you enjoy the VST 2.4 AIR plugins. I have alot of plugins VST3 and 2 and they work fine. However, AIR not updating these plugins while selling them on the market does not inspire confidence in them, the plugins and the company. I would avoid this company. It wouldn't be that bad if it was clear that your are buying plugins that are abandonware. For that reason those older AIR plugins are literally the only VST2 plugins I have on my system.
They most likely will never be upgraded to VST3 as AIR decided to release newer more modern plugins instead of updating these older ones.
That's were I originally got them from.DNnX wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 10:52 pm Install from the latest AIR installer. They were once updated in 2021.

ilok tells me I have the newest version installed. Should I still reinstall it?DNnX wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 10:52 pmTry updating iLok License Manager to the latest, and restart the computer (important sometime).

Installed 2008. Didn't work but I'm going to restart next. Restart did not help.DNnX wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 10:52 pmInstall old Visual Studio x64 Runtimes.
If I remember correctly, old AIR plugins use 2005 and 2008, which is not always installed to modern Windows.

It is catastrophic.N 4 LIFE wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 6:28 am i got 3 AIR plugins free with MPC Beats. I think you might still be able to do that. It took forever to get the AIR stuff installed and working. I finally figured out how to access them directly in Logic Pro and they are excellent sounding. Most companies in 2024 have the worst installation instructions and processes I've seen in 20 years. Far worse than the Roland manuals in the 80's when no English speakers wrote all the manuals....
You are right I did not notice that in your image. Sorry.LunarKitten wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 6:48 pmBut aren't the "_x64.dll" files 64 bit? Are you using cubase?
I'm going to look into it.
It is listed as 'Air Power Pack (3)' > Hybrid; Mini Grand; Velvet
It says
That one is already taken so you have to choose another one.Scrubbing Monkeys wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 8:46 pm Sorry no real help here. Those are still very good plugins I hope you get em working.
On a side note can I use Moon Puss as my next project name?
That's officially a Roland issue, this has been confirmed by Steinberg!
