...Do you have a "notify me of updates" email list going? I'd like to be on it. I've always wanted an SY-series synth, and it would be ideal to have something close ITB. ...Lemme know, thanks.

PS: +1 vote for the "warts and all" version rather than the "better effects" route. If I want better effects, I'll use my own external FX, which--no offense--will be better than yours. I'd rather have the authentic original (or one like it) in the VST. Thanks!

It's not about better 'effects'. It's about better reverb. One effect. Although the delay is not practical with only 300ms delay time and like reverb adds nothing of interest to the majority of sounds. If you are going to use external effects, why do you care for the internal SY77 effects? Why can't those who DO care for the internal effects benefit from better internal reverb (at least!)?

I'm looking forward to people using and loving this SY77 reverb. Viva la sonic masochism!

Accurate translation of factory and system sounds?

He has already said he will add a better/diff one, give the guy a break maybe?

Really , stop beating a dead horse .
There is a software emulation coming of one of the finest synths off all time , including the crap reverb ..
The developer has made up his mind , just show some respect for his decision instead of pushing your agenda :tu:
Or is becasue you're worried that the 'crappy reverb ' could undermine your future sales of soundpacks/presets ? :hihi:

The factory sounds will translate just perfectly with a smooth reverb as long as the parameter ranges and options are the same. There is no issue here. You all stand to benefit from it.

The dev might or might not add an option to choose a better reverb sound. So it's not a given.

May I respond to a poster without being called out? You don't need to read. Please.

My agenda is to have better audio quality in one of the best FM synths out there, and the original reverb has a detrimental effect to the sound quality of the SY77.
But I understand that you are one of the people here who don't care for audio quality, so you will never understand where I'm coming from.

I get what you are saying but I totally disagree - I love the crappy SY77 fx, i can't see the point of an emulation without them personally, why not have the option to use the internal fx if you want to then you still have the option to use any external reverb you like..

If you would care about audio quality , then a tg77-sway emulation would not even be at the top of the list because it uses old lookuptable tech .
People like it becasue it's a sound desinger's dream that oozes character
I care about audio quality , but I rate emulation and character much higher .
no , I don't know where you're coming from ...stay safe on your high horse :tu:
