...Do you have a "notify me of updates" email list going? I'd like to be on it. I've always wanted an SY-series synth, and it would be ideal to have something close ITB. ...Lemme know, thanks.
Really , stop beating a dead horse .himalaya wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 1:50 pm It's not about better 'effects'. It's about better reverb. One effect. Although the delay is not practical with only 300ms delay time and like reverb adds nothing of interest to the majority of sounds. If you are going to use external effects, why do you care for the internal SY77 effects? Why can't those who DO care for the internal effects benefit from better internal reverb (at least!)?
I'm looking forward to people using and loving this SY77 reverb. Viva la sonic masochism!

The factory sounds will translate just perfectly with a smooth reverb as long as the parameter ranges and options are the same. There is no issue here. You all stand to benefit from it.
May I respond to a poster without being called out? You don't need to read. There is a software emulation coming of one of the finest synths off all time , including the crap reverb ..
The developer has made up his mind , just show some respect for his decision instead of pushing your agenda
Or is becasue you're worried that the 'crappy reverb ' could undermine your future sales of soundpacks/presets ?

I get what you are saying but I totally disagree - I love the crappy SY77 fx, i can't see the point of an emulation without them personally, why not have the option to use the internal fx if you want to then you still have the option to use any external reverb you like..himalaya wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 1:50 pm It's not about better 'effects'. If you would care about audio quality , then a tg77-sway emulation would not even be at the top of the list because it uses old lookuptable tech .himalaya wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 5:00 pm
My agenda is to have better audio quality in one of the best FM synths out there, and the original reverb has a detrimental effect to the sound quality of the SY77.
But I understand that you are one of the people here who don't care for audio quality, so you will never understand where I'm coming from.
