Here is the step by step description on how to play and record a video of your playing on IOS:
It needs an MPE compatible IOS app that can run in the background:
I’ve tested with Geoshred, cause that can be used and it will work in the background:
0. Enable Landscape mode on IOS if it is turned off.
1 . Connect Linnstrument using camera connection kit and connect the charging cable too.
2. Launch Iphone camera - don’t start recording! Just launch it. (recommend to set it to 16:9)
3. Launch MPE compatible app and make sure it’s working with Linnstrument.
4. Pull up the control centre from the bottom of the IOS device.
5. Long push screen record, make sure microphone is turned off and start screen recording (if it’s not there, look it up how to add to the control center)
6. Switch to the camera app, turn the phone to landscape.
7. Have fun with the Linnstrument, with the iOS camera recording it. Make sure you’ve set up a good angle!
8. When your done, open the recorded material in iMovie or any movie editor app you prefer, set the borders to your liking, cut what is not needed AND adjust the sound of the material to be in sync with the video.
Note: Sound and Video will not always be in sync, that’s why you need to make sure to adjust it.
