I'm having a hard time creating chords like in the track linked below (starts at around 0:46). This is an old DnB tune from the 90's so my first idea was that this progression is a single chord sampled and played accross the keyboard, but I dunno, I just can't get in the same gloomy ballpark. I can't recognise pitch by hearing and I'm overall musically dumb so bear with me.

Usually "dark" DnB/Jungle uses three specific intervals:
  • Semitone/Minor Second
  • Minor Third
  • Tritone
This song uses two of them to transition to each other, but the "chord" is a major sixth interval, which is an inverted minor third. With some quick and light transcription, here is what I heard:
  1. G low octave, E high octave
  2. G♭ low octave, E♭ high octave
  3. C low octave, A high octave
There is a second part of the song that simply moves a semitone/minor second higher instead of lower.

on an e pedal

iv
i6
Vii042 ( ommit the middle voices )

There is a chromatic g# that is to me just a mistake from someone who has bad ears so I chose to ignore that one

The voices you chose to include and omit depend on the instrument and arrangement.

I wouldn’t overthink it. This artist didn’t.
