Hi,
you may noticed that latest since NAMM 2018 more and more hardware controllers supports MPE! (e.g. https://roli.com/stories/mpe-official) Since a couple of weeks accSone starts to collaborate with well-known controller vendors to implement the MPE stack so that crusher-X can be controlled via MPE MIDI data in a very expressive, "multidimensional" way.
We're very interested to learn more about your view and expectations on this topic. How do you see crusher-X should map the MPE expression possibilities to it's microtuning, generator and surround capabilities?

I would LOVE to see some MPE functionality built into crusher-x (As I would love to see it implemented into anything really). In my opinion it should be easily set by the user what parameters are assigned to what sensor. For example, have a drop down menu for
1)pressure
2) height
so that you could assign the velocity of your hit (pressure) to how many grains are playing at once, and perhaps the height (How high on the seaboard you play) could be the distance between grains, so you could push harder as you drag your finger up and create a grain cloud from what you are using.
This is just one idea, but if it was routable and customizable, the possibilities are truly endless.
Also, the "M" in MPE stands for Multi-dimensional, and not MIDI

Hi,
thanks for your input - yes incredible possibilities! We implemented:
and
This should allow most flexible routings to each vapor parameter of the received MPE data.
Will be soon avail as a free update to all version 7.x licensees.
According to midi.org it seems that they reference MPE as MIDI Polyphonic Expression ("MPE")
