This free version has the following limitations:
- It contains only 32 default presets selected from all three default sound categories (full version has more than 1000 presets)
- It contains only 30 inbuilt digital-PCM waveforms (512 in the full version)
- It doesn't have the option to load external SF2 files
- It doesn't have the option Random parameters
- It doesn't include the version Wave Edition
- No nagging screen or annoying noise !!

there are hundreds of free presets for the free version too. I think there are all (or mostly) on the kvr product site from art pyrite

Just downloaded the free version, the look is oldish, very 1990s style.
But the pads are fantastic !

I wanted that its GUI can look similarly to this mineral Pyrite .....

How do we get the 1000 presets ? I see only 32 in the menu (excellent ones btw).

ART Pyrite free includes the folder "user bank". There are two additional sound banks from Alter Boy Sounds and one small bank from syntheticillusion (KVR members).
Another preset banks you can find here: https://www.kvraudio.com/product/art-pyrite-by-artvera

If you're still looking for inspiration, then have a look for the issue of Computer Music that gave away BazilleCM. It's a cutdown version of UHes Bazille but still very capable. Digital oscillators with an `analog` filter and modular in design so capable of totally off the wall sounds once you get into it. Maybe my favourite magware/dirt cheap synth. Also, you'd get the other CM exclusive plugs including ZebraCM previously mentioned.

The german mag Beat have a version too called Beatzille, exactly the same. Maybe easier to find in your locale?

It's on this month's CM as well along with Focusrite Red plugins. You can buy the digital version for $4.99 and head over to the vault and download all of the content. If you don't have Bazille, it's the no-brainer of the century because you'll get Bazille CM, Synthmaster CM, a few other goodies that should be useful and a very nice VCA style compressor and a high quality EQ.

I checked out the free version of Pyrite. Very nice! Might just have to add this one to the "to buy" list too... some great sounds for only $60.

I downloaded Beatzille, as well as the Bazille demo. Some sweet presets even in the freebie. Honestly, though: the user-interface on this synth seems very complex and kinda mind-boggling, not sure I could ever master it. Though, would probably be a great learning experience if I had the time and patience.

At this point, I have so many great options available (thanks to all who contributed to this post) and now have to dive in and start figuring out how to actually use some of them and do something constructive!

PS: Santa... a subscription to CM is on my list!
