Could be wrong though - maybe AAS was just under the radar for me at that time.
Yamaha's VL PM synthesis from the VL-1 had received a Native Windows 98 port around 1999.

Seer Systems Reality was before Tassman and included a PM bowed string, but still a standalone app in 1999 and not ported to VST.

I've got Reality tucked away in a drawer somewhere.

A huge disappointment that he didn't follow up with it.

Another expensive, unuseable softsynth. Oh well, add it to the collection.

felis wrote:How can you tell if a vsti is 32 or 64 bit? - Addressed to anyone here who knows.
On a PC, 64-bit will be in some directory under top-level directory Program Files. 32-bit will be under directory Program Files (x86).

Yes, but you can elect to put them anywhere when installing, or moving them after they're installed.

When I look at 'properties', there's no indication of 32 or 64, but there is a location.

Also, when using them, a lot don't give an indication when you click on the 'About' tab either.

I really hope this gets updated soon. I just went through the sounds again and it really does sound good. It has quite a variety of sounds and dispite its age they all hold up. Unfortunately the GUI doesn't. All I need is an updated GUI, the ability to listen while you tweak and an oversampling option. Although adding a few other things like a single cycle import, a sample player, a new algorithm for winds, etc wouldn't hurt.

The sounds are fantastic in Tassman. And a GUI would be a HUGE remedy to many of the issues some have. I think this thing could be expanded a bit too. It would not take much. I would love to see a product that connects all of the AAS products much like Prisma, but more intuitive and connected.
