I'm a synth player and use Amplitube 3. Haven't tried 4 yet.
So if I was looking at guitar rig 5 for guitar amp/fx emulation, would Amplitube be the alternative that you recommend?

I typically use Guitar Rig for FX w. synths. Not so much Amplitube, but I don't really keep up w. current developments. 'Wah-harmonizer' out of AT Metal is wild.
