Saw it. Bought it. Used it on 2 tracks this weekend.
Definitely worth more than I paid for it...

I don't understand why the A and B mod amounts aren't automatable. Is this something easy to change in a block?

there is a new sample module for builders with a 'drop zone', so probably expect some new ensembles ..and some old ensembles to be updated with this abilityDaags wrote:would love to know, in practical terms, what kind of improvements we can expect on the Samples front ...

yeah i am sure many will flock to the pseudo-analog-modular-bla-bla blocks for a while!!!!Totolitoto wrote:I love reaktor for the unusual stuff you can get, but this update seems to turn it into a pseudo-analog-modular-bla-bla-synth, which is a bit meh for me...
Let's hope there will be some crazy blocks developed soon because right now I don't see why I should upgrade
but no worries i dev some wacky power gens (UMBAH etc..)
the new Reaktor is really great news for all builders... probably by the end of the year i will have updated all my stuff, and there will be a few new ones soon.
already been testing it all out for a few weeks with the new modules and getting awesome results.
in practical terms for these avant power gens i develop, the GUI side has been improved, so expect some clearer design and labeling
its no problem to insert the new A B modulation system to any existing ensemble, so expect major controls to be modulatable..
when the ensembles are updated they will be in blocks format, but they will be ' giant blocks' . it means they can become custom chained together or part of your own chain of other blocks.
also sound quality is gonna be up a notch or 2 for sure, and the preset managment is improved to make more complex multi-instrument ensembles.
i could go on and on, but its all good... and i am sure most builders of all styles have got lots on the way to look forward to.

I've been using your freaky creation a LOT, thanks man.
I agree, there are going to be some killer ideas coming from Reaktor 6, and we'll be in on the ride from the beginning

Please help, I'm stupid.
Which directory do I put the user-made blocks in? I've downloaded some but don't know where they go.

Your user library folder along with all your other stuff. On Windows it's %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Native Instruments\Reaktor 6\Library by default.
I found it easiest to copy all the factory blocks plus all the one's I've downloaded and dump them into a Blocks folder that I made in there, that way I don't have to flip back and forth between the factory and user tabs of the browser.

Well, I was ready to pull the trigger...but...I guess I missed something. I was thinking I could "upgrade" from KU10 (and previously KU9), but no, I am expected to pay the full $199. Not gonna happen. I'll be forced to wait for the upgrade to KU11. Not a very nice way to treat a flagship product owner, but that's business I guess.

IMHO a bad business decision on the part of NI.rustman wrote:Well, I was ready to pull the trigger...but...I guess I missed something. I would have bough K10.5 with Reaktor 6 and again K11 and they
would have made more money and at the same time i would have
Reaktor 6 and happy at that. A win-win. Oh well. I will also
impatiently wait for K11.

Hold on, I have K8, so does this mean I have to wait for K11 to get R6?

Let me make sure I understand this correctly.
As a K9 owner, I still have to pay full price for R6?
