As I just posted in the other thread, it isn't clear to me if this can be used to sample hardware as well as plugins. If so, what functionality does it have to facilitate multisampling real-world instruments?

Bliss can only record VSTi instruments at the moment. Real-world instrument sampling will arrive later on.

Acknowledging that you're at an early stage and can't make any promises, would you anticipate that real-world instrument sampling will arrive as a free update at some point in the future, or is that more likely to be a v2.0 paid upgrade type of feature?

It's very likely to be a free update in the future, considering VST hosting and sampling is a much more complex process.

i like the feature set. theres a ton of samplers that can playback a group of multisounds.
so.... to me, how snappy and resonant the filters are will sell or break this.

i'll give the demo a spin

also the intuitiveness of working with layers and zones is not the greatest in
highlife, so i hope to see an improvement there.

I tried the mac demo but the installer keeps failing. Anyone else had this problem?

VST sampling doesn't work in Mac OSX 10.10.4
AU works

Now tried Absynth 5 VST and it works, Aalto VST doesn't work to sample.
And I got a crash during closing the VST inside Bliss with Studio One 3 Pro
