So far on FORM
Form: is a groundbreaking synthesizer instrument that allows you to twist a reshape your sound.
I hope there will soon be a video available showing the workflow and features.

K11 seems more like a Komplete 10.5 or 10.6 or at best 10.7.kiezum wrote:No Kontakt 6? I won't be upgrading.
No Kontakt 6 and no Absynth 6 make KK very sad

Has anyone noticed from the screenshots that Kontakt has gotten quite a facelift?

It does?Echoes in the Attic wrote:Has anyone noticed from the screenshots that Kontakt has gotten quite a facelift?
I did read that 5.6 will be in Komplete 11, so it's possible I guess, but unusual to have a visual change in a point release.

Looks Reaktor-based.

Yeah scroll through the screenshots on that djshop product page link and you'll see much different controls for Kontakt. Sorry, killing time on my phone so can't post a pick. Someone else should though.noiseboyuk wrote:It does?Echoes in the Attic wrote:Has anyone noticed from the screenshots that Kontakt has gotten quite a facelift?

But of course! They only develop on their "platforms" now it seems (Kontakt and Reaktor), as far as instruments go.loungepanda wrote:Looks Reaktor-based.
I just wish they would include some modern features like polyphonic aftertouch and even mpe support. But first en that their new terrible keyboards don't even have poly AT I'm not holding out hope. But I just can't understand releasing a new synth plugin these days without even polyAT. There are even several mobile keyboards that use it.

I wonder if the Kontakt developers had a bit of a shock when Falcon came out. UVI have raised the bar pretty high on the sampling front alone, not to mention the synthesis engines & IRCAM stuff.

I can say from my perspective - not really. Falcon is a great tool but a completely different workflow, and also it doesn't put its sampling way forward the way Kontakt does (and is also not as efficient as Kontakt, CPU/RAM wise, for the same sampling tasks - however it has its own strengths).
It's not a replacement, it's an additional tool in the toolbox.
