To clear up any confusion I always goto the main Manage Plugins section and run a scan there - without any problem it auto-detects if VSTs are Effects or Instruments and ticking the checkbox adds it to the correct list. You can also combine 32/64-bit and VST2/3 there aswell. I would recommend adding new VSTs that way rather than the Quickscan nonsense.

It worked fine in FL Studio 11MogwaiBoy wrote:rather than the Quickscan nonsense.
BTW, what is the latest version of FL Studio at this time?
I have installed v12.2 [build 3]
I thought that was the latest version.
But I see now that the Plugin Manager in the guide has version 1.4.4.1, while my version is at v1.3.20.13

I will update and hope that fixes the bugs I am experiencing

So I downloaded latest version of FL Studio 12.2 from Image Line website, and updated it.
But after doing that my Plugin Manager is still at v1.3.20.13 ?
Why does the Image Line guide refer to a later version of the Plugin Manager, when it is not included in the latest installer?
