The free version comes with downloading and using the Custom Shop, which installs all of their plugs which is a bit of a nuisance. There's not very many options included in the free version, and even fewer that are actually good IMO, but it's a good way to get the core software, then cherry pick the amps, cabs, effects, mics, etc you want/like.zerocrossing wrote:Doesn't Amplitube have a free version? Get that, then use it to demo the paid models and pick a few (they're pretty cheap) that you like and you're done. I think it's the best sounding guitar amp modeling software out there. Scufflaw's is really good to, but I think that's just a paid all at once package and I'm not sure how expensive it is.Fleer wrote:AmpliTube. You may be able to find it for $50 at KVR Market.
I still need to demo the Scuffham stuff - everyone seems to rave about it, but amp sims are fairly low on my priority list right now as Amplitube does what I need for the moment. (and much better than Guitar Rig 5 IMO)
