One KS Into One B2. Square wave test tone was the input signal.

Algo-Comp example... interesting rhythmic-melodic phrase in phrygian mode.

Sent into Izotope Trash to give an aggressive timbre...

then into B2 with automated wet/dry mix...

different Trash and B2 presets for the two examples... same KS settings...

the point here is that KS supplies the musical "performance", and the tone/timbre can be transformed however desired using other plugs...
As far as i can judge (about "captain crunch 2"), and assuming that you choose the second image with the same paradigm of the image synth room (red=left green=right) ...there is a few sustained impacts at the right channel in the rendered phrase (visible on the image as "green forks") that appears in the beginning of your track,at the moment the effects "en aval"(B2 reverb especially) doesn't blurr the original signal significantly

...this seems even more obvious on your previous "puma lovers" track, after closer listening !

First experiment with Kaleidoscope :

long drone (full version is 13 minutes long) with magnetic / diffuse effects, Vintage verb, convolution reverb pro used and kaleidoscope martian drone preset modified

I'll give it a try tonight!
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

OK, I think we have a new winner in the "non-ambient" usage category of Kaleidoscope now:

My good friend Daniel Merrill of the awesome IDM group Aligning Minds was kind enough to share this track!

https://soundcloud.com/aligningminds

He says:
Here's a demosong I put together using sounds from KS. Melodic IDM/Breaks style - every sound but the drums and bass is from KS.

Seriously man - this thing is changing my life!!

Holy S**t!! :tu: :tu:

This is the kind of stuff I am personally really excited about at the moment. ..this and hybrid orchestral/acoustic + KS.

(just randomly sharing that info re what is exciting for me personally... it has no relevance to anything really... Everyone is free to do whatever they like with Kaleidoscope. It's is so open-ended that you can use it for the amazing ambient stuff as I and others have already posted here, but since that should be immediately obvious to everyone who spends more than 5 seconds with KS, I want to now try to demonstrate all the other styles it excels at too..)

Another Kaleidoscope etude:

Six instances of Kaleidoscope running in parallelel using similar custom presets/images only using the internal noise generator to excite the resonators - all six KS sent to a Bus with a medium VintageVerb - some post-processing applied to a narrow high band (B2) and a narrow low-mid frequency band (Replika) in RX4 Advanced.

LOL, winner, contest - has this thread now become some sort of resonator championship :)

BTW, take a guess how many different 1024*1024 pictures are possible....??

If they are 1-bit, on/off, black/white the answer is:

2^(1024*1024) =2^1048576

If they are two 8-bit color channels the answer is:

(2^8 * 2^8)^(1024*1024) = 65536^ 1048576

If there are two 16-bit color channels the answer is:

(2^16 * 2^16)^(1024*1024) = 4294967296^1048576

~4 billion to the ~1 mililonth power!!!

:o :o :o :o

So, will they all be in AV02, or will some be saved for AV03 or AV04 even?

I admit that I haven't read the manual yet  but I didn't realize you supported 16 bit color channels! I'll have to see if it makes a difference in practice.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Must be in the Input-module somewhere.

If you work with KS 5 hours straight from 2 am - 7 am and have 2100 ideas per second about what to do next, that's:
5 hours x 60 minutes x 60 seconds x 2100 ideas = 37.800.000 brain synapses per identity pixel! Crazy...

Damn, what kind of platform do you need to run 6 instances of KS without any freezing operation ?

Yes. Definitely... at least an 02.

even the one bit case is bigger than the estimated number of atoms in the universe!!!
