Hi, have you seen Arturia's new plug ins ? Solina V and Matrix 12V

http://www.arturia.com/

Looks interesting... But if they use a dongle, not for me !

Post

I don't care about Dongle but...are they on same codes like the ones from WW2?
And the other question is...why did they not release them before Black Friday?

As part of that release they no longer use a dongle. They have a system similar to NI with a software manager. I have the demo of the M12 running. It is interesting if not redundant to a lot of stuff. But it is a great synth if you aren't already buried in them

IMO (about 1 hour of fiddling), fairly well. The Filters aren't quite right, similar to the SEM. There's always something a bit bland (kind of a washy blur at the cutoff freq) about Arturia filters to my ears. But, the matrix programming is about as straight forward as it could be, which of course means it's not that straight forward :hihi: .

Arturia uses an elicencer, no dongle required.
**edit** I see they have a new protection for this, hopefully better :)

SEM V sounded fantastic, so I have high hopes for Matrix 12V. I'm a bit short of cash after the weekend's deals though...bad timing Arturia!
**edit** Demos don't impress.

Too bad. :(

Shame Xils didn't do it, they'd probably nail it better. Or TAL. :)

Oh well.

They've just changed their system away from elicenser as I understand it.

Just installed the demo of Matrix-12. Will check soon.

In the Arturia service Center now also for my single plugins an "Upgrade" option is there to change to the new protection. This was not there yesterday.
Also have the demo downloads available there now which was not available yesterday too.
