I've rearranged and remastered an old science fiction movie soundtrack from the public domain called Cosmos: War Of the Planets. I wanted to do this for a long time since the soundtrack is really good and isn't available anywhere. The track I'm the most proud of is called "Outer Space Panic". It has a sound reminiscent of Dj Shadow famous "Organ Donor" track. Obviously, it's more simple because I wanted to let the original music stand out for itself. New arrangement where minimal while still retaining that '70 style and tone.

I've made a small run of 20 red cassettes and it's also available as a digital download. The tapes will probably sold out very quickly so if you like the project and want to show your support, you know what to do!

It's also available on Discogs, if your more comfortable with that website:

It's definitely got a late '70s character with that organ-based arpeggio. Your arrangement also has an upbeat BOC influence that seems to work very well with the earlier piece.
Good work

Thanks! It took me two weeks full time to complete this project. After awhile, it's getting hard to have your ideas clear and you begin to doubt. Luckily, so far the feedback as been good.

This reminded me of that Forrest Gump quote: Life is like a box
of chocolates - You never know what you might gonna get.
One of the good things about this Music Cafe is IMO the
diversity.
I have a broad taste and though this track is not something I could make
on my own, I can hear some good craftmanship, and the idea
of bringing something old new life really appeals to me.
Well done

Thank you for the good comments! The cassette release is taking longer than expected. Recording all those tapes is time consuming...
