So a thunderstorm on a beach mixed with birds and guitars and oh now percussion and bass and everything. Very interesting way to start a song. Definitely sets the mood.
I'm not hearing the folk in the rock. To my understanding folk rock is a white dude, Mumford and Sons (at the very modernest) or Bob Dylan (at the earliest) sort of thing.
This is very pretty. And sweeping. And epic.
It's almost metal-esque rock.
