I want to connect Reaper to Zyklus Improvisor and also to Harmony Navigator LE.
Does anyone know the best (easiest) way to do this?
Midi Yoke, LoopBE, loopMIDI, ....?

From testing high data rates,
Maple is most efficient,
but damnably it's only 32-bit.
Cheers
I was running like 10000hz note offs,
and no CPU overhead.
This speed is not possible over a MIDI uart I understand

Isn't Loopbe already included with Harmony Navigator?
At least with Synfire, HN's bigger cousin, it's included.
Midi Yoke should also still be available. And it's free.

MIDI Yoke is 32 bit (will work on 64 bits though with some drawbacks) so I'd prefer loopMIDI over this.
You might also want to check out MIDI Tools from Mountain Utilites as this is not just a one-trick pony.

Thanks everyone for suggestions and information.
I'm still on WinXP 32 bit.
LoopBE30 trial version (60 minutes use time before needing to reboot) is included with HN LE, while LoobBE1 is free.
I think Maple and Midi Tools are the ones I forgot about.
I'll look into those and also jack audio connection kit.
I'd like to minimize the headaches of setup and use the most dummy-friendly of the lot. Harmony Navigator LE has really been a pain for me. I had it working with Reaper awhile back. Then I downloaded the full version of HN and I couldn't get it to work properly.

I'm also using XP on my main music PC and I have no problem using MIDI Yoke or LoopBe. LooBe has more throughput(it's faster) than MIDI Yoke so if your MIDI sequences are VERY complex with lots of instrument playing simultaneously, LoopBe might be a better choice, but in general, MIDI Yoke works fine. I can't comment about Maple nor MIDI Tool as I've never used them before.
Update: After a quick look, MIDI tools looks really cool I'll definitely check it out.

Welcome Chuck. Thanks for input. Are you using LoopBE1 or LoopBE30?

I experience problem with loopbe1 as it overloads itself and creates midi feedback and shots off the port (There is a loop-back protection enable)
It happens with Fractal and Cythar, (neither has a midi out enabled) but Fractal sends many notes and Cythar has speed up to 4500 BPM, that's right, 4500
There is also CopperLan which seems to be excellent, free and does a lot more than loopBe1...(I still use loopBe1 though, for simplicity

I use copperlan on Windows 7 64bit. I use it in Maschine, to get arp's and chord generators going, and find it simple, and efficient. Definitely can recommend it.

Cythar for me, is the sequencer of the year.
I am still cracking it open, really deep and many functions not obvious and not well translated from original german manual...(I made a mediocre translation with google translator)
(it'll get you started and there are videos)
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... c&start=30
It is standalone which is great, I use it with NI's Komplete and standalone VSTs.
16 patterns, each holds 6 channels=instruments
6 track sequencer with 6 track chord arranger, 16 steps per.
routing, repeat, next, mute...
Only sends midi out, no audio input.
DEFINITELY worth to figure out if you like sequencers
