I love the first five i've tried:
Clarisonix
Octaplexer
EchoFlex
Loudbass (well, not THAT much)
Granulzier
My Visa is running away and hiding ... ouch. High need-factor.

I don't think it's a good idea to simplify your assessment of a plug-in's quality to "is it oversampled?". It's true that oversampling is often used in distortion effects, but it's easy for oversampling to become a false way to quantify a plug-in's quality... i.e. "wow plugin A does 16x oversampling! That must be better than plug-in B which only does 2x."@midnight wrote:Are they oversampled? Atleast the distortions?

But to answer the question there is no indication in the product that it's oversampling.
Personally I don't care. These are character effects and I've never heard any concerning artifacts or aliasing.

I remember I've seen those some time ago and the resemblance to Nomad Factory GUI was quite obvious. As I didn't really had too much money at that time I didn't bothered to try.
Seeing those now on KVR and this thread popping out I said to myself "let's try the demo".
I don't really know exactly what they do, but they work very well, especially the Clarisonix and Loud Bass. I made a strings section and with those on top you can hear a dramatic change.

You have to oversample to 384khz to get an analog-like sound quality. Yes, the quality of the algorithm and circuit also matters greatly but as a basic ingredient you need nyquist pushed all the way up to 192khz in order for the aliasing to remain in the inaudible spectrum.hibrasil wrote:I don't think it's a good idea to simplify your assessment of a plug-in's quality to "is it oversampled?". Anyone noticed any instability with racing cpu levels using these? Im using Mulab 5 beta with multicore support so it's hard to tell where the problem is.

Hello friends,
Thank you for all the comments ! Our servers have been very busy since the launch of Version 3.0
We now have version 3.02 available for download on the P&M site
http://www.plugandmix.com/support/downloads/
People have been using them with Cubase 6 and 7.
Did any of you get the desperate SOS message we sent to our users?

I made a fast short test for Clarisonix and Stereolizer. I like what they do to the sound.

While I have some other good plugins in my arsenal, so not all P&M plugins are useful to me, there is nothing so straight forward like those two, so yeah, you just got a new client/ fan

What does this have to with aliasing in mixes?lightsfadelow wrote:And then all your listeners will put it on their iPods in MP3 anyway
I don't care what headphones an idiot wears. Maybe you are happy producing garbage mixes with this justification, I'm not.
