Isn't this the normal hangover after all of the summer sales? I know my wallet could use a break. Black Friday is at the end of next month.

If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

I dunno. I'm just getting warmed up!
Been buying all kinds of stuff this month. Actually wished a few more deals would show up.
Just bought the LSS solo strings and audio imperia packs over at VST buzz today. Downloading now.
I'd have bought that saturator x had it remained on sale a few more days. Maybe even the limiter too for $29...
I wished someone would make an automated web page that lists all the current sales. And auto updates. And had desktop alerts. I'd be on that all day...

We're announcing a pretty cool sale tomorrow night and then something very big on Tuesday.

I would like that, too. I would even like to build it myself, but I don't see a way it could be profitable -- even with a bunch of ads like KVR. I've seen a few computer based music making sites shutter this year. It would have to be a labor of love.Rational wrote: I wished someone would make an automated web page that lists all the current sales. And auto updates. And had desktop alerts. I think the rekkerd list is really good: http://rekkerd.org/deals-deals-deals/
PS. ..and of course the KvR deals listed here: https://www.kvraudio.com/deals.php

Yeah, he posts deals on Twitter, too, if you're into social media or whatever Twitter wants to be called these days.mladi wrote:I think the rekkerd list is really good: http://rekkerd.org/deals-deals-deals/

I check rekkerd's deals list somewhat regularly. But for some reason it's a bit harsh to look at for me. Must be the bright white and single list. Seems cryptic to me, but it's probably just all in my head. It's at least maintained well, yet is not comprehensive enough. I'd like an aggregator page. Single line item per item. Sortable. Biggest discount column. Ending soonest column. Etc.

I just noticed EverythingTurns is having a 50% off sale, just happened upon it while searching digging around for audio morphing tools:
http://www.everythingturns.com/ET-V2/
Wasn't sure if there was a way to submit it to KVR for review/posting on the deals site, or if that happens at all without the the developers input...

I've gotten tired of trying to keep track of all the deals sites - be nice if they all had rss like kvr, but alas it's not so.
Instead, I started putting Python scripts together to periodically touch some sites (using an rss client where possible) and cache results in a simple sqlite3 database, to write a little UI on top of, marking off what I've seen, or adding a way to monitor for things I want that go on sale.
Had started looking at the Time+Space site for some of that, but man...yeah, they don't appear to have a simplified method of gathering all product deals in a single view. Put that one to the side for now...

I've never figured out RSS sadly. Maybe it's the stupid name. But what RSS client are you using? I'd love to set up rss to let me know when there are new posts on this and the bargain no chat thread for example. Probably simple and well known, but just not by me. Any advice appreciated.
And I wonder if Uncle E's announcement upcoming in the next few days is iZotopes new Neutron? I like the idea of the track assistant and the 'masking' feature where it has the ability to hear all the other instances of itself placed on all other tracks within the DAW automatically. Love how it can auto analyze and compare the audio on one track to remove conflicting resonances from other tracks/instruments. Been waiting for something like this. Should lead to much better and faster mixes for everyone. Low CPU too it seems. Love izotope.
What's funny is that the videos they posted on youtube for Neutrino are not great examples of the concept. I couldn't hear a difference on two of the three videos. Hope they aren't punking us with neutrino. Neutron looks stellar though.

Also, don't forget to save some money for the Call to Arms: Charity 2016 Auction at the end of the month (if it follows previous years schedule). Great causes, good deals (some from vendors that rarely or never have sales)

I'm so happy I'm not the only one who thinks Neutrino is "The Emperor's New Clothes". I was beginning to worry that my middle aged ears just couldn't cut it anymore.Rational wrote:What's funny is that the videos they posted on youtube for Neutrino are not great examples of the concept. Neutron does look amazing though - I can see myself going for it if there's a good launch promotion - like <$100. Am I delusional?
