What is is the most realistic, best-sounding VSTi for vibrato flutes? If you should know, in your opinion would these sounds be better than the vibrato flutes in a Korg Triton or Korg M3 or Korg OASYS? If I were to buy this VSTi what is the approximate cost and what other sounds would I get?

check out the Retro Flute from Bela D Media.
Its rather inexpensive but you will need Kontakt to use it.
But it has a very nice scripting and sounds very realistic in the style of Ian Anderson or Herbie Man with the option to add their typical singintotheflute sound.

Amen to that! A very enjoyable instrument, and quite funky, if you want it to be that.Dr.Wu wrote:check out the Retro Flute from Bela D Media.
If you're looking for more of an ethnic flute, check out BelaD's Antholgy: Celtic Wind and Anthology: Spiritual Wind. Great flutes in there!
Best,
Joey

PRIZM has some incredible flutes (acoustic, synthetic and pan flutes - most very real sounding, with beautiful vibrato)
