Ian Boddy, a well-known grandeur in electronic music and sound synthesis, joined me for tonight's episode of syndae answering questions about his musical coming-from and going-to. Learn about what makes this master of synths tick electronic music wise, what he thinks about music downloads, and what he expects from his collaboration with David Wright for the AD music festival and Electronic Circus.

It's christmas time ... well, not yet, although one could think so, seeing all the Lebkuchen and sweets in the stores. Ok, so it's 3 month ahead, but time to start thinking of syndae christmas 2009. Do artists have to send you a CD of their work for consideration for your show, or can they give you a download link?

I'm just asking because there's a huge netlabel/creative commons thing going on now . . .
I still think, your punctuation sucks, and your spelling isn't cool! So there...

... no, seriously.

Hey,

Sorry, I didn't see your answer earlier (and KVR forum did not notify me either).

Indeed, I do get some albums sent by artists and labels, but I also play quite an amount of netlabel artists on my show. Checking piles of netlabels on a regular basis to do so, but of course would love to get recommendations as well.

Some of the netlabels I played from are Earth Mantra, SoftPhase, Thinner, A Quiet Bump, ByPass, Stadtgruen, TestTube, Kahvi, and many more. CC music is always welcome, although, I don't play any track (even CC) with personal permission by the artists.

Thanks for listening to syndae :D

Yours,
Stefan

P.S.: Oh, and yes, I do accept downloads as well, should be 192kbps mp3 at least :)

It's always a pleasure to say, another great EM festival is knocking at our doors: E-Live 2009 is coming up. In two weeks, in Oirschot (NL), we will be able to enjoy such great artists as Spyra, Pollard/Daniel/Booth, Stephan Whitlan, and Faralley on stage or in the Lounge, respectively. So tonight's show is a sneak preview on that event, having all acts except of Stephan, plus an exclusive premiere track from the new Synth.NL album, which will be released right at the festival, and the just released album by Create, who also will be in Oirschot with his own stall.
