Bought ;) Thanks for this nice VSTi.

Rolf, I have two feature requests . What bothers me is the waveform window in the middle . It would be nice if I could deactivate it.

Instead, I'd still like to see there a third and fourth wavetable oscillator .

Cheers

Ways to modulate the position, etcetera of the XY table(s) would be terrific.
Ha ha suck it!

Do you mean to modulate the XY-Pad?

Yes, I've caught myself requiring that function several times in the past month. It would add more options for wavetable and LFO manipulations, more depth.

I know Blue II has that whole "draw/record your own XY table", but I am guessing that simply putting that function in the Nave matrix would work just fine.
Ha ha suck it!

Uploaded Nave 1.03 (little bug fix release) here:

http://www.waldorf-music.info/nave-plugin-updates

Check the release notes for fixes and don't care if the website text still says 1.01/02 for a while (needs a human to change :-) Download links will deliver you 1.03.

I thought the Wavetable display was supposed to be animated, i.e. the red line scans/moves along the wavetable if its modulated ?
I can't get it to do this. Can't see anything in the manual to say if I need to switch on something. I've tried modulating the Wave parameter - no movement shown.

Does it actually do this ?

Tried in REAPER and Studio One Pro 2

Hi

the wave position is modulated acoustically, but there's no visual animation of the modulation. We've this on our list for an upcoming update. Stay tuned.

I got this impression from your Video demo of Nave, but presumably this was either the ios version or some video trickery...

I look forward to the update as it is easier (to me at least) to program when you can see as well as hear what you're changing/adjusting.

Anyway, just bought after an hour of use. :)

Hi Rolf, being able to use the close controls/blades in a split way, different for each Wave, would be extremely helpful. I found myself wishing for that function this morning.

I also don't like the resonance and cutoff being global, though you're probably aware of that.

An idea that would make Nave even more self-contained would be to add a transient enhancing effect, along with the attendant modulation capabilities.

Lots of feature requests...

Two from me:
1. World-famous Waldorf Comb Filters.
2. Patch-independent lock of Reverb On/Off button.

What do you mean resonance and cutoff being global? Do you mean that you wish each Wave layer had its own filter module? A transient enhancing effect sounds kind of ridiculous to be honest. When you start getting into that territory you're getting into very complicated sound design territory that will always be better suited for separate tools/FX.

No offence Apostate, you're obviously free to wish for what you'd like and I'll make no attempt to take that away from you, but a lot of your feature requests are inarticulate and frankly, kind of silly. I think you should spend time enjoying the tools you have, learning how they work and how they differ from one another instead of spending most of your time thinking about what more you'd like in them. This is unsolicited advice, so feel free to ignore it (I offer it with no degree of arrogance or hostility), but you've seemingly impulse bought a great deal of synths lately and spend much time putting forth feature requests that are typically not very thoughtful to the design of a useful instrument. I can promise you, almost nobody (not even you) would use most of the features you're looking for.

Again, totally unsolicited, so ignore if you wish. Just my opinion. Know what you have before you decide what it's missing. :)
