I personally feel my modi operandi, where I don’t work from nameable chord blocks in favor of harmony as a concurrency of single lines in free writing is a higher evolution in the realm of harmony; ie., far more fluid with possibilities that aren’t limited to names of things (which if you think about it is at a remove from the thing itself).
