What about this riff tone? But that's a lot of processing to be practical. I was looking for a more practical solution, and i used a different sampled guitar altogether.

I used the same tone and guitar here although without any DI wizzardry.
Yet again I can't open these links, sorry.

I think i'm getting the hang of this. I'm trying to cut down as many plugins as i can to save on resources and also to make it more practical.

Worked for me…

Edit: The first link worked. The second link, unfortunately, didn’t….. 404 as well…
C/R, dongles & other intrusive copy protection equals less-control & more-hassle for consumers. Company gone-can’t authorize. Limit to # of auths. Instability-ie PACE. Forced internet auths. THE HONEST ARE HASSLED, NOT THE PIRATES.

These should hold. People here sadly take about a week to reply so the links run out of time.

Well the first one's tone is decent, but guitar itself sounds midi-sh and playing is unnatural. I would not play the melody like that - entirely with powerchords, and even if I do - there will be transitions between chords (like short slide sounds).

The second one is less midi-sh indeed but I could not comment the tone here.

It's funny when you think about it. That i fixed what you disliked but used a terrible tone. What can i say, i like automatic wah and fuzz combo. It was supposed to be a hairmetal sound.

I too am, unfortunately, in that same group. Life is constantly getting in the way, and unfortunately, life comes first. Job, housework, appointments, & kids take the majority of my time. I have to squeeze my music making and KVR into things somewhere--sometimes it takes time. :)

Nope. What I said basically is a good tone starts with a good source. Your first example is still not quite there. Second is probably ok for the mix.

Btw, if you want more attack from the samples - try aggressive com before an amp, slow attack and fast release. Or/and some sort of transient enchancer.

I've found an unlikely ally in the bass processor. I know what it's meant for but it seems to function well on all DI's. Makes things sound more natural especially with the dirt slider. I feel that all the sampled guitars are very surgically clean. I guess to keep things neutral for you to play with. I did all of the steps you roposed plus some extras. Sounds good to me! :dog:

Here are some mono and stereo riffs. I honestly feel very proud of this achievement. I should probably save this chain as a preset or a starting project since it seems to fit with all of my tones.
