when they say "improved DSP", do they mean "exciters" in COSMOS finally generate harmonics now, instead of being static EQ curves? (same applies to ECHOES, actually - their "models" of different delays were actually just EQ curves, not models of anything, but at least it's defensible in a delay plugin)

It is a free update. You have to upgrade the serial number. When you enter the old serial number to authorize, it will lead you to the upgrade page. After the upgrade you'll have two serial numbers.

I want this so bad but I don't think I have serial numbers. I have a folder with something called .auth files which were like keyfiles. I don't think I've ever even had to put in a serial number for a Nomad product. The long ago last update just asked for the license and I pointed it to the .auth file. Done. Maybe I should ask support.

Of course there should be no charge for a major update to a plugin. It's completely reasonable to expect people to work for free.

Overall Echoes v3 I think is an improvement. It's a bit heavier on the CPU, but the input and drive sound much better, less lofi.

Unfortunately it can't handle echo time higher than 2000 ms when Sync is engaged. This means at lower BPM the 1/2D (<90 BPM) and 1 bar (<120 BPM) settings are not working properly. In the old version of Echoes the echo time also is 2000 ms, but when Sync is engaged, it goes up to 4 bars, so there are no issues with lower BPM.

And don't think that's not greatly appreciated, Nick (as it was for the recent EQs upgrade). So what's next in the pipeline? I vote for Analogue Solutions Pack.
