Needs more VCAs.
Only one oscillator actually works. The rest is just for show. Kind of like hair band guitarists having 600 half stacks on stage.
Yeah I noticed too. It is the orange wire.
No not that one. It's the other orange wire.
The one with another wire next to it?
Exactly. The one that's plugged in.

Cables are wires.
But Wires are not necessarily Cables...
You're welcome! :D

Ask WireGuys... :hihi:
MuLab-Reaper of course :D

Therefore it is not unreasonable to suggest that if you can't make good music with less complex synths that you are lacking in some area(s) that others possess in sufficient quantities to make good music. It's a perfectly reasonable proposition.
you asked me "what restrictions?"

I provided some examples.

and to no-one's surprise, you moved the goalposts to "relevant restrictions". which in your solipsistic existence basically means anything you do/don't want.

if you don't want to know the answer to a question, don't ask it. that way you won't have to keep reframing things in some vain quest to seem The Big I Am.

The proposition you quote makes perfect logical sense.

In the same way that Niky Lauda and his McLaren-TAG would be totally able to win the 2024 world F1 tournament like he did in 1984, JM Jarre, Vangelis or Kraftwerk would have exactly the same success today than 40 years ago.

Guaranteed.

No boubt at all.

Because like the race car overall speed and spectators expectations have not changed at all in 40 years, the electronic music has not changed at all since 40 years.

Period.

Some stupid people may pretend that if Kraftwerk were in their prime today they would certainly use the latest advancement in synthesis, but that's bullshit... They would totally use monophonic subtractive only synths...

Therefor, any of the old synths restriction are irrelevant in the same way than 1984 Formula 1 restrictions compared to today.

That's perfectly logic.

:hihi:

You are correct
Wires transmit electricity, but cables transmit sound
That's why they're insulated
Yep. Logical.
Exactly. So the sound doesn't bleed out and create feedback

That's why, as an audiophile I advise you to put all your cables under water so the phonic isolation is even better.

No no, have you never heard of hydrophonics, the science of underwater sound transmission?
Dolphins and whales?

EXACTLY !
I see I am talking to a specialist.

That's why you need to isolate each and every cable in the picture in different glasses of water.
A true Audiophile (with a capital A) will use Baccarat Crystal glass only (if you are an exquisite person).

That genre is called Musique liquide, in contrast to Musique concrète.

FWIW ... I've always crafted my own cables purely made of wood. It's such an organic material to work with.

Once you hear the resulting sound coming out of wooden cables you'll never talk about analog sound again.

I find Musique Concrete a bit heavy and dry...

Musique Liquide isn't.

It has to be mixed properly.
