Not really even worth that, IMO. I tried to do something super simple, modulate filter cutoff with an oscillator, and it made an insanely loud BAP sound and crashed. Fail.

Not really even worth that, IMO. I tried to do something super simple, modulate filter cutoff with an oscillator, and it made an insanely loud BAP sound and crashed. Fail.

With version 1 or version 2?

I don't use Karma very much (mostly for building some effects chain ideas) but I have not had V2 crash on me.

It is definitely showing its age: Wavesequencer's Hyperion is a similar but, I believe, much superior product.

Air Music Tech Transfuser 2 is old as well but despite the unfixed bugs it can still be really useful. I created the soundtracks for my first two games to be released on Steam with Transfuser 2, VPS Avenger 1, Sektor, Pigments 4, Massive X, Hybrid 3 and that allowed me to make some unique sounds with some time spent on mixing tracks properly.
Combining multiple synths allows for better results than just sticking with one or two at a time if you want to make something original and different.
For $33 Synth Modular 2 can be useful too.

I stopped using KarmaFX a few years ago when I started getting bitmap error popups that crash the DAW when I clicked through them.

With so many actively developed modular environments to choose from I don't miss it. But TBH VAZ Modular is still my favorite after all these years.

KarmaFX Synth Modular 2 released!
