Taylor won't stay in open string mode ?

Hello. I recorded a simple pick and strum pattern, D G A. It starts out in open string mode [ the way I want it ] but when it plays the G chord it stays in the 1 position when it goes back to the D and A chords, and sometimes it will revert back to the open open string mode, only at random though. How can I make it stay in open string mode when it plays the D and A chords ?
