Hi Elan, Chaosfly only shows up as an audio effect on my test system...Win 10 32-bit. Tried it in Sonar LE, and Bitwig 8-track, same thing. Is this the way it's supposed to be?

ok, I've figured it out. I've routed a midi track to the chaosfly audio track and now I can play it. What an unusual beast this is! Fun

Ah, well Chaosfly *is* an effect kinda, it can take a sidechain modulator, unfortunately this is Alpha and the design is quite bad and inflexible. In those DAWs you mentioned, is there a way to comfortably have something that is both an effect and an instrument without having two versions? Maybe not, that's why KarmaFX comes in two versions.

Four instances of chaosfly and a third-party filter for the sweep at the start.

I'd really love some polyphony in the future, even just 4-16 voices. I could imagine making some really unique "keys" sounds.

Just played around with it for the first time tonight.
Managed to create a nice lead sound once I got a basic grasp of what-does-what on the synth controls.
