This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here? ShawnG

What the fooks a tagageddon?noiseboyuk wrote:Wag - nobody knows whether or not it's release or announcement. There's no real precedent for this, in that they've always announced at NAMM until now, which I think has put pressure on their release dates. With Omni 2, I think they felt 3 months was the longest they could leave it between announcement and release - personally I think it rushed the development and it wasn't quite ready (I still think Tagageddon is a mess, come to that). This time they can do totally as they wish, so who knows if they decide to have an announcement window. If I had to guess, I'd say yes they will.

Tagageddon (n). The point at which the increase in number of tagging categories combines with the inconsistencies in the tagging to create an apocalypse of tags.

Okay. Well, personally I don't have any problems with the tagging, I can usually find the sound I need. I think the Sound Match is great.noiseboyuk wrote:Tagageddon (n). Something they've deliberately sidestepped before would be unexpected. A drum instrument that uses multi-samples rather than loops?
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

I would like to have the next step of physical modelling tool from them....something which puts Sculpture finally to shame and can create all those Diego Stocco custom instruments digitally in realtime and morph from any possible instrument or material into another.....
The end of the search for THE synth......

I would be very happy...but since it's "10 years in the making" i doubt it will be a mobile appnoiseboyuk wrote:It would be a disappointment for sure, but it does kinda fit their world view. They've been about synths, beats and bass for well over a decade, plus they've released an iOS app before. It would be the lowest hanging fruit for them (aside from the already discounted Stylus 2).ATS wrote:my God that would be lame after any hype at all.
But of course it's not a certainty. You could take the "something new" line to read that it is precisely this focus on the three things that will finally be broken - their earliest products also focus on voices, guitars and world instruments after all. Or it could be hardware. Potentially the most interesting development of the lot would be if they've come up with a truly revolutionary controller. Will always be interested to see whatever they come up with.
....but maybe they release their own OS

Cinebient - yes, the iOS app theory can be pretty safely - and happily - put to bed after the "10 years in the making" comment. Here's my current tally, let's see what tomorrow's tease can strike off:
VERY UNLIKELY
Hardware ROMpler
Stylus 2
iOS Omni
Trilian 2
Orchestral ensembles
Multisampled acoustic drum vst
POSSIBLE
Non-RMX based beats / rhythm machine
Solo strings
Hardware synth (with Roland?)
Something very new re modelling and hybrid instruments
Hardware controller
Vocal product
MOST LIKELY
Guitar vst

whatever it is I hope it is multi-touch friendly.
edit:
Possible guitar or vocal VST
