I'd love to get the PSS-480 circuit bent next
That PSS is cute
I remember something similar hunted my dreams when I was in the uni (30 years ago!) and I really wanted one, but couldn't afford even that (hard life), so I ended with a used Casio one. I remember I did a tape full of melodies in less than one week! (direct recording from Casio to a tape recorder!) I did knew nothing about Scales or chords, so they were very 'strange' melodies! But stranger than that, my friends later preferred my very first melodies than later ones (when I learnt about Scales and Chords ..etc)
Yeah, I know the feeling - something about simplistic but catchy melodies really suit these home keyboards!
I was lucky to get my PSS-480 for Christmas when I was 10.
Wonderful from a child's perspective, especially with this amazingly happy, and impressively programmed but somewhat naff theme tune:

Who can resist swinging their pants with this?
Ah, home keyboards from a very different time...
