Great to see the response this month! Make sure you read the "liner notes" in the Submissions thread to fully appreciate the ample SEVENness of this month's entries.

Vote for your Top 10 favorite compositions, in order (most-favorite = #1, proceed downward).

Voting ends on early a.m. (US Central Time), Monday, August 1st. It may be just a little while after that for me to tally the votes before the results threads appears.

No voting for yourself. Voters must have had 20 prior posts, or at least have participated in the contest this month.

Once you place your vote, you cannot change it, unless permission has been granted by the moderator.

In the case of equal scores after voting, entries will be separated by how many 10 pts (i.e., how many #1 votes) they got, then 9 pts and so on. (Thanks to OSC for this rule.)

You must participate in voting to win prizes!

Epic month of entries, great work to all and I promise I will try harder next month and do more than one guitar take per section. :P

Laguna Rising - huge effort to work to the theme and something wonderful came from it. Congrats, take this cigar :P
Hellfog - nice playing, I really loved the Floyd vibe when the drums dropped out.
rachmiel - simply beautiful
Ahornberg - intense! really made me uncomfortable - in a good way.
Jazzaria - Loved the clarinet playing
chemeleon - epic
Jay F.- great, so much of what I like about music using synthesis.
Yeager - I play this same descending chordal thing every time I am not thinking about playing the guitar (watching tele etc) it just happens >..>
kryptonaut - great solo, tried to twist to it but broke a hip... :P
bluerobot - First class work, I'm pretty ignorant about any synth work that isn't JMJ so if it's got panning noise, I'm into it.
beanpole - SEVEN DWARFS, SEVEN SINS, SEVEN WONDERS! - really good.
Mister Natural - apart from the very beginning of the intro sounding like the intro sound from Linus Tech Tips this was great.
ClaRago - Suitably chaotic, the guitar could have been louder throughout, not just at the end :) (I'm biased)
Eric Danger - not my cup of tea but very well done.

It's almost impossible to really rank everyone but alas, it must be done. In all honesty anyone could be anywhere because you all put effort in and made great music.
I play guitar

1 rachmiel - probably the most "conventional" piece I've heard of yours in a while. Wonderful counterpoint and the mystery of a story, but I don't know what that story is. Just a lovely piece
2 Jay F - sitting among all the wildly experimental and mathematical pieces this month is this very pretty melody and structure. Simple and simply charming
3 Laguna Rising - A Calliope on acid. The Minimogue takes me down the rabbit hole with a sense of humor. All the dissonances end up being just fun
4 Hellfog - huge fan of your work, fog. Very cool atmosphere with the DUB. Love the stop and start drums . . . and then the GTR solo goes on too long
5 chameleon - nice retrogression with the funky synths. I like how they "breathe". Not crazy about the arppegiators or how the vocal is mixed so far back. Love the harpsichord at the end - very "prog" rock
6 Jazzaria - I just knew you were going to go "Take Five/Seven". Seems like a layup for you with your chops. You've really dialed in the mic/clarinet relationship - that's come a long way
7 bluerobot - very pretty textures. Nice when the percussion comes in. Structure needs some design - where does this go ?
8 ClaRago - love the percussion here. Always terrific atonalities from you along with the crunchy gtrs. Where does this go ?
9 kryptonaut - amusing structurally play of boogie woogie. I've never considered it in seven. Cracks me up
10 Eric Danger - While I admire all the effort; I frickin hate Wagner :=)

I salute the composing effort.
10. Laguna Rising The Seventh Seal
