I see, I missed that part. Over the years I accumulated about 20 Melda plugs which seemed relevant for my work (and most of them are essential now), then I got MXXX Core some months ago, now the real fun begins.KTlin wrote: But as I said earlier, I'm not very happy with some aspects of MXXX workflow.
Something in between Turnado and Molekular

Yup. As I already said in response to Simon, M(MultiBand)Rhytmizer is next on my list. I'll probably go for the single-band version, because I'll use it inside MXXX Core, which is already multi-band capable.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:Check out the multiband rhythmiser. The multiband aspect makes such a difference. There seem to be some great effects within, though I have yet to put too much time into the demo
It might be what you are after

In MXXX just using a volume-module and e.g. the wobble filter (most misleading name in history), or even the basic bandpass filter - combined with a step sequencer, some LFOs and a follower let's you create intricate gate/amplitude/filter/panning sequences without spending another cent, all those simple and basic building blocks combined with those up to 16 modulators per patch (and 40 something Macros) can go a long way.KTlin wrote:Yup. Here are 2 examples with gated/rhythmical patches I did this morning with MXXX:

I really like Effekthascher (the video does not show the very deep potential of it; its really efficient, fastest workflow handy to use and the fx are very nice. Its pure fun! There is also an update meanwhile.)

Yup, this seems to be pretty powerful and interesting (too bad the GUI is so ugly, imo), but as far I can tell, it can only do serial processing (like Turnado). On their website I couldn't find a demo; I suppose they didn't release it yet.kukident-youth wrote:I really like Effekthascher (the video does not show the very deep potential of it; its really efficient, fastest workflow handy to use and the fx are very nice. Indeed. You can do some wild stuff with just some basic modules But for more stutter/glitch stuff, you really need the "Time" section from MRythmizer . I don't think you can accomplish that kind of processing using other Melda plugins.Sampleconstruct wrote:In MXXX just using a volume-module and e.g. the wobble filter (most misleading name in history), or even the basic bandpass filter - combined with a step sequencer, some LFOs and a follower let's you create intricate gate/amplitude/filter/panning sequences without spending another cent, all those simple and basic building blocks combined with those up to 16 modulators per patch (and 40 something Macros) can go a long way.

Thanks aMUSEdaMUSEd wrote:Excalibur?
I forgot about Excalibur, and I'm not surprised I did Its concept/workflow is very unorthodox and unintuitive, to say the least. After watching some videos on youtube, I still don't quite understand how this thing works. (admittedly, those "tutorials" were very poorly done)
However, I'm gonna download the demo and play with it for a while.
Cheers

Yes it really needs a decent tutorial but the sound quality is second to none as a multi fx unit.

Have you tried PSP N2O?
