You don't want Warmifier for this, you want Voxengo Shinechilla:
http://www.voxengo.com/product/shinechilla/
''Voxengo Shinechilla is an experimental creative sound effect AU and VST plugin for professional sound and music production applications.
Shinechilla allows you to generate and blend 2nd, 3rd and 4th harmonics with the original dry sound.
The harmonic generation process offered by Shinechilla is quite unique on the plugin market since it produces almost no intermodulation distortion.''

Was latency specified by OP?
60ms isn't a problem if audio bouncing or sound designing.
Either way, Shinechilla and Vertigo VSM-3 are the tools I use:

Shinechilla imparts some serious phase distortion though cause of the nature of the process it uses.it stretches the phase out so much it almost sounds like there's an additional layer of early reflections (which is cool for sound design)but not appropriate for the kind of subtle effect this guy is probably after
My recommendation prior to realising the OP was after something dedicated was because i presumed he was using it for subtle harmonic enhancement (i can't imagine anyone pushing Reviver) and in terms of digital apart from Nebula.i think Warmifier is the only algorithmic one to do that well.

any saturator I know of /including Warmifier/ will intruduce some phase distortion...but I hope you are probably talking about pre-ringing, which could be result of some spectral processing involvedTIMT wrote:Shinechilla imparts some serious phase distortion though cause of the nature of the process it uses.it stretches the phase out so much it almost sounds like there's an additional layer of early reflections (which is cool for sound design)but not appropriate for the kind of subtle effect this guy is probably after
you are right that Warmifier is soundwise much closer to Reviver than any specral processing tool on the planet /including Schinechilla/, but I would still prefer MSaturator, MLimiter/free/ or SDRR over Warmifier anytime-and not only because they allow separate harmonics control...TIMT wrote: My recommendation prior to realising the OP was after something dedicated was because i presumed he was using it for subtle harmonic enhancement (i can't imagine anyone pushing Reviver) and in terms of digital apart from Nebula.i think Warmifier is the only algorithmic one to do that well.
I see Warmifier more as a specialised tube simulator which to me doesnt sound as real as other top notch tube simulation plugins on the market, but subtly used it surely can work as a decent Reviver replacement...

Anyone use harmonic excitement instead of EQ to bring out top end clarity? Do you find it more natural and less harsh than typical EQ shelf boosting?

While people are suggesting all these great plugins (they're all awesome), you haven't told us what you want to do? Are you looking to do sound design/sculpting or modify vocals/instruments?
I use Melodyne 4 Studio. It is expensive; however, have you seen the video of what it can do? I'd say...if you were trying to achieve some almost impossible sound, you'd have the best chance to do it with Mel4St.
With that said, Melda Productions MCharacter is probably all you need for sound design as I would consider it to be like a baby brother module of the harmonic manipulation you can do with Melodyne. Similar to that....I would consider Waves Saphira.
Here, I found the spot of the video I want you to consider. Go to 1:24 and keep watching:

While this is quite a fancy and expensive software, Melda's MCharacter is close enough.
So, again...what are you looking to do?
