So I am wondering if there's a way to put silence between phonemes. Part of the conventional speech synthesis sound I didn't like was the running together, and maybe adding silence can help? Is it also possible to make more distinct plosive sounds?

sure you can insert silence. usually you use the /axp/ item for that.camsr wrote:So I am wondering if there's a way to put silence between phonemes. for the plosives you could select another one from the library.

Here is some advice if you don't want to loose presets you create on the fly.
Before starting to work do this:
*Create a new bank in the browser.
*Choose that new bank as “active bank“ on the left hand side of the browser (otherwise Phonem will try to save into a factory bank which is full so you can't save)
*Choose that new Bank as target bank on the right hand side of the browser
*Make a preset, save the utterances and/or wavetables into the user library and then use “Save As“ to save the preset into the target bank
*Save the Bank otherwise everything will be lost again.
Slightly convoluted...

I like to add that this is especially important when you are working with AU. In VST the host always saves the complete bank with the project. In AU it does NOT.Sampleconstruct wrote:Here is some advice if you don't want to loose presets you create on the fly.

Every sampler is, but saving a snapshot in Reaktor requires exactly one click.

Question regarding tax in CA. Downloads are not taxable. Why do I get this message when adding to cart:
>>The seller of this item requires tax information to process your order
>>The seller of this item requires tax information to process your order

because we (PPG) have to pay tax according to the country.Musical Gym wrote:Question regarding tax in CA. Downloads are not taxable. Why do I get this message when adding to cart:

so we need to know from where the order came.
