Congratulations to the winners, thanks all around. An enjoyable month. (And since the gossip thread's now floating free, I'll say here: thanks, Shangsean, for the reviews.)

Thanks to everyone who voted for me, and congrats to bzur and Shangsean! Also a big thank you to everyone who provided comments this month - I enjoyed reading all your thoughts, and not just the ones that pertained to my track.

Congrats winners! A good month. (Who'd have guessed a photo containing a couple of creepy death-monsters would inspire so many mellow pieces?)

It was a nice contest about that picture. I suggest a contest about scoring a short film, what do you think?

Why not? I made this one several years ago and found it again on the Web not later than yesterday! What a coincidence:mvrasseli wrote:It was a nice contest about that picture. I suggest a contest about scoring a short film, what do you think?

Congrats & thanks all around, it's been a really creative and entertaining challenge... can't wait for the next one
Regarding the short film idea: I'm in there's a bunch of (short) public domain films / footages ready to score. Archive.org (https://archive.org/details/movies ) is a good source, with a rather good categorization; for instance:
https://archive.org/details/35mmstockfootage
https://archive.org/details/more_animation
https://archive.org/details/silent_films
...
another idea, Emile Cohl fantasmagorie:

or some film by Melies... limit is imagination, and time to find the right one

Yeah. The short film scoring idea is a good one. It would be really interesting to see what people came up with.

Congratulations to the winners, also yes the short film scoring idea is a good one, I've done some scoring for short films here and there, always a lot of fun
