Lumia here actually - but mentioning that would have been asking for it myself, so I went with the safer Option...

Does this display require two cables to drive it at full resolution or just one? How does it perform on Macs? Does it behave properly with system sleep modes? How about its performance at high PPI with scaled GUI? What PPI is this screen? Specs done seem to list it, but I didn't spend a long time on that site because it's uncomfortable to look at on iPhone 4.T-CM11 wrote:NEC, for example...Jace-BeOS wrote:Those competitors are...?

No I didn't "ask for it", dude. I'm poor, so I can't afford a new phone until my existing one is completely useless, and I hate android devices (I've tried two).jens wrote:Get a proper phone then - I recommend Samsung...

Thank you for the info. 183-PPI seems a bit on the low end to me. Yes I sit close to my displays (to avoid wearing glasses sometimes, when looking at details).T-CM11 wrote:http://pixeldensitycalculator.com/Jace-BeOS wrote:Interesting. Apple/Logic scores another winner, in comparison.
Logic free update, adds Alchemy
Steinberg Absolute VST Collection updated now, to get it, pay at least €200

There is no comparison. Apple can afford to give away Logic for free if they wanted, but Steinberg can't.Numanoid wrote:Apple/Logic scores another winner, in comparison.

What do you mean? You have just compared Apple to Steinbergloungepanda wrote:There is no comparison. Apple can afford to give away Logic for free if they wanted, but Steinberg can't.

On the low end? Then you want a smaller display... go 5" if you want ultra high ppi!Jace-BeOS wrote: Thank you for the info. 183-PPI seems a bit on the low end to me. Yes I sit close to my displays (to avoid wearing glasses sometimes, when looking at details).

What is interesting is that even velocity seems to work with the iPad remote app. When i hit the virtual keyboard soft i have low velocity, when i hit it hard i have high velocity. My iPad has no touch fource. Seems they messure the vibration or whatever when you hit it?
Not as good as a real masterkeyboard of course but a virtual keyboard can offer some extras (like Animoog, Nave or especially ThumbJam on iPad).
I even bought MainStage just for gettingbthe autosampler to create easy and fast new exs instruments for Alchemy. Damn.... Mainstage is a CPU killer. Just starting it let my i7 quadcore MacBook getting hot as hell.
Really bad performance. Logic works thousand times better!

O.k. now i noticed that all my hand crafted scales inside the midi fx transposer are not there. All my custom made scales are chromatic again.....WTF?!?!
Also i can´t figure out now how to edit a user scale. Logic let me just use the included scales.
That´s a bummer!
Anyone else??

So far I really didn't have a wow-experience with the new spectral morphing, but today while experimenting around for a new patch, I did find a pair of spectralized samples which created something I had never heard before when spectrally morphing from source A->B with one controller and between the formant settings with another controller. So with some patience and understanding what morphs best with what, this new algorithm can yield some incredible results.Sampleconstruct wrote:It sounds pretty good, but I wouldn't orgasm over it...Luftrum wrote:No secret anymore I see. I urge those of you on a Mac to test out the new enhanced spectral morphing as in right now... it's the best ever in a software synth and it almost kick's Kyma's behind, it is that good. It has been so for over a year now without me being able to speak it out loud but now I will:
TRY THE NEW SPECTRAL MORPHING!
Ahhh, now it's said.

Activate the VA synth in a source, activate the noise generator, choose a noise type, done., maybe rtm.waltercruz wrote:where can I find a noise generator on Alchemy 2?
