Hello,
I'm trying to achieve this sound (It's somehow a Wall Bass or Rhythm Guitar to me):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQYroBX5E68
It's the sound that starts at 0:18.
So far I tried this:
OSC1: PWM; Transpose: -24; Detune: 3 Cents
OSC2: Saw; Transpose: -12; Detune: 3 Cents
Cut Off: 90 Hz; Resonance: 16%; Envelope Amount: 100
Amp Env (ADSR): 0.05s; 0; 100; 0.20s
Filter Env: 0s; 0.72s; 40%; 0.20s
When listening to the original sound, there could be a LFO mod to the Cut off.
I don't need an exact replica and it sounds ok to me. But the problem is the distortion. It sounds fuzzy. I'm using Omnisphere and I tried the Stomp Boxes. They make the sound "thin", especially the fuzz box. Does anyone have a suggestion, how to get this kind of distortion? A third party plugin wouldn't be a problem, but I think Omnisphere should handle this kind of sound.

Not sure if this helps, but for that synth I used two saw wave oscillators, detuned slightly with some hard overdrive and delayed chorus. There is also a hard filter cutoff on a pitch osc sine lfo too.

You're right, Omnisphere is able to handle these kinds of sounds. I haven't tried making this patch before, but I would start off by creating one simple sine in layer A, not really tweak the sound so much, but just add a highcut filter, and then I would create a thin saw wave in layer B, add a highpass filter and add distortion to it, and only to B, not to common. You probably need to tweak it more to get close to the desired sound, but it does not sound like much else to me.
I did find this tutorial for a somewhat similar sound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8MxrwfhqI0 Hope it helps
